Coonamble’s James Taylor rode Spider to victory, collecting $10,000 in prize money and merchandise in the prestigious Open Section of Geurie Golden Bit Campdraft.

The two-day spectacular, offering $60,000 in prizemoney - drew crowds of up to 600 and 400 competitors, including some of the country’s top horsemen and women.

James took home $4500 cash, a $5000 saddle and a $500 dollar buckle. His daughter Lucy Taylor is a fierce competitor in the ladies draft also. She is pictured on another of the Taylors succesful campdrafters Lina.

I have been feeding Cool Stance and Power Stance since August of 2011. I absolutely love this feed and coconut oil!! My barrel horse, hes 10, is a hard keeper and he looks great on this feed and Power Stance, he has even gained weight!! He has some slight feet issues also and his feet look great, he even went up a size in his shoes!!! He is the type of horse that if hes not rode a few times a week he would buck and be really fresh when I got on him, on this feed I can ride him once a week or once a month and he acts like hes been rode everyday!!! He stays more focused and tends to business! My husband has a rope horse that is also the same way, hes 13...he will buck if he wasnt practiced on during the week and rode pretty hard, but now on this feed he can ride him just enough to keep him in shape and just haul him and he works awesome!! We turn down money for him everytime we take him to a roping!!

My number one rope horse is a 7 year old stallion and can get pretty full of himself if we dont ride him hard everyday, he even got to where he wouldnt haul in a trailer, he would kick and fight. But on this feed he is a dream to be around, people dont even know hes a stud and i have turned down a lot of money for him also! I can ride him just enough to keep him in shape and tuned up and haul him. I just started another rope horse, hes 9, on it a couple weeks ago, he is the buckskin in the pictures I sent in and notice all his dapples!! He didnt have any issues like our other horses other than his hair coat was a little dull,but its getting some shine to it now.

My parents sent us a 6 year old mare that was on the verge of being "blown up" in the box...she wouldnt stand still and would rear up sometimes and get really hot really fast. I put her on this feed and within a week she was standing quietly in the box and when she was tied to the fence!! It worked wonders on her!!!

All of our horses look great and act great!! They feel good but as soon as you get on their backs they are all business. I love how when we go somewhere or we are just here at the house practicing, our horses dont get "hot" like everyone elses! They sweat just the amount they are supposed to, when everyone elses horses are ringing wet and tired. Our horses dont get tired and they recover quickly after we use them. "My daughter got into Barrel Racing two years ago and bought her first horse Dollar for $10. The previous owner did not want him because he was a cribber and we were told he would never be faster than a 20 second horse. My first horse, a Thoroughbred (Pauli) has been on Copra for many years, due to episodes of chronic laminitis as a result of a race injury before I 'rescued' him. He is not sound enough to ride, however he is a loved pet and being 16.1 hands high, needs a fair bit of food to keep the big machine going! A friend recommended using CoolStance Copra, because of its suitability for laminitic horses and he has been thriving, he has a wonderful long mane and glossy coat.

I have also just started him on Power Stance during the colder months and he loves it. I also have a very healthy Connemara Pony and he loves his daily rations of your Copra as well. Helen Connick is the professional groom for Mark Tocchini, Polo Team Patron and CEO of Planning Initiatives, and their seven stunning Polo horses. CoolStance Copra and a Cushing's Disease Horse

This is my Cushing's horse, he is looking much better after 5 months of pergolide and 3 months of Copra. His hair is a bit longer than normal but it is shiny and his condition is very good. I am riding almost every day and he is happy and active in work so I keep my fingers crossed that he will stay like this for a few more years.

My feed store recommended this product for my old horse that had a bladder issue. It helped him maintain his weight up until the last couple weeks of his life. His coat remained soft and glossy. During this time my dogs started gobbling up any pellets that fell so I started giving tham a small amount when mixing the horses' feed. They have the most beautiful, glossy, soft coats! Now without pellets they still lick up the powder.They LOVE this stuff!

Thank you so much for this product. Our galloways coat was dry and just didnt have that sparkle to it. Now after feeding him Powerstance - wow what can I say? Our Galloway just won an Australian Championship! His coat just gleamed and everyone was asking what we were feeding him. Thank you again for a super product. We rescued our puppy from a pound and from the time we brought her home she has had skin irritations. This was probably the reason she was named SLINKY!

The condition of her coat deteriorated to the point that the Vet suggested that she might have thyroid cancer. After testing cost over $350 and a clean bill of health, the Vet was still perplexed as to why Slinky’s hair was still in patches. The next course of action suggested was for a skin biopsy to determine if she had any underlying problems. The next Vet bill was over $1,000 after all the medication and tests!!!! Again Slinky was given a clean bill of health. In frustration of continuing down an expensive road with no results we heard about PowerStance. We had nothing to lose!

We wished we had heard about it before we put our puppy through invasive surgery! The results have been tremendous. I came to use CoolStance due to Max being a VERY good doer and I wanted something safe for him but that would also look after his coat, as I like him in GOOD paddock condition always so show prep is easy.

CoolStance was the ultimate choice. He has kept his top-line, got a nice sleek, shiny coat but isn’t piling on any extra weight. Mixed with a few other feedstuffs I find it plays a BIG part in his diet these days and he looks great without the fizz. He is level headed but still has impulsion. Has a lovely willing attitude without being silly, hot or a “feral” when I work/play with him as he can be on a grain based diet. I also love the oil content, which keeps him shiny.

For Avatar, CoolStance was also the obvious choice to help him regain condition after being sick. I knew he needed something to help gain condition but didn’t want to fill him with grain or concentrate that would be hard to digest and cause extra acid in his stomach. He now has a lovely top-line and great all over body condition and is also shiny.

I LOVE CoolStance and will recommend it. I feel safe feeding it (especially with Max) knowing it has a nice protein level and is low in NSC.

Coolstance for calm horse

This year I'm going to turn Cruz Bay, my three-quarters Thoroughbred gelding, into a calm horse. I only have myself to blame for my ten year old's problem: he’s terrified of other horses in the warm-up arena at shows.

Cruz has been on Ultium for the last three years, but now I was looking for something to calm him down while still providing the energy and nutrients he needs.

After researching the internet and reading horse owners’ feedback on various feeds, I became interested in an Australian product called CoolStance

Although the weather is making it impossible to ride regularly, I have managed to work him on and off.

I've been doing things to desensitize him. He now allows me to throw nerf balls at him in his stall, ride him over a blue tarp, and open and close umbrellas next to him as well as hold them over his head. I've been amazed at how well he is adapting.

Two days ago came further proof of how much calmer his is, when I was able to ride him while a friend drove the tractor in the field next to us, coming towards us constantly, with the bucket right up in the air. At one point, before I mounted him, he raised his head and was set to take off in fear because the big bad tractor was coming for him. I offered him a treat and he immediately calmed down. The moment of anxiety was gone before it came. This was already incredible!

Then I rode him in the arena and he didn't bat an eyelid when the tractor came alongside him or towards him, or when a cyclist came by on his other side. I was so thrilled I wanted to cry!

Next month Rick Pelicano, a renowned Maryland Mounted Policeman who trains police horses and has written two books on bombproofing horses (one of which I have) is coming to my neighbor to give one of his famous bombproofing clinics. It will involve, among other things, walking through hanging plastic strips and next to smoke bombs. I am needless to say, going to take Cruz. This will be the ultimate test of how well he does with eleven other horses and the weird stuff he has to deal with!

Cruz is on the feed 100% now and I truly believe it is making a huge difference. For the first time in three years I am hopeful that I can have a well-balanced horse whom I'll soon be able to take to major shows.

Powdered coconut oil for conditioning and coat shine in horses

I started riding Make A Wish (Aka Mira) January 2010 and preparing her for the upcoming show season for her owners. As she was settling into a new home and schedule she lost a bit of condition, and we tried many weight gain products which, although she did put the weight on and give her a shine, we soon discovered she was not tolerating the excessive protein in the weight gain feed products. Her behaviour was not affected, but she broke out in lumps both side of her neck. We had numerous tests complet

ed and found this to be excessive protein intolerance. I then took her off the high protein diet and needed something to help her keep the weight on and coat shiny. This is when I discovered Powerstance. I was looking for oil that I could feed her that was palatable and cost effective. I had done a lot of research about coconut oil and it benefits and decided that I should give it a go. Here is my racing Pacer gelding "Shock Treatment" 8 yrs old, when i brou

ght him. He was in full work and not on very good feed.

The next photo of him is in race condition getting fed bran, chaff, museli, CoolStance copra ( 3 cups a day) and hay. he is a good doer but as you can see from the before not shinny. the after pics show him in full bloom. i always got put down in the racing pact cos my horse looked like a show horse and not a race horse. but to me all my horses should look like this regardless of what they do.

I live in a very dry part of western australia and decided to feed out coolstance copra to allow some oils into my horses coats. here are some of the differences.. i am very very happy with your product.

Tom 27 yr WB before, with quite a dull coat, then after 1 month on CoolStance copra. he only gets bran, chaff, and Coolstance copra (about 3 cups) once a day and hay. He is glossy and even has a few black spots coming thru cos he is blooming. oh and by the way he does'nt get brushed much but his coat has gone nice and soft.

Feed for body condition on a poor doer thoroughbred

I have a 16 year old thoroughbred who has never had what others call an apple bum and generally has been a poor doer. He has been extremely expensive to feed and I had tried nearly every product on the market.
A few months ago he started to lose weight overnight and after eliminating other possible reasons was really concerned.
I walked into my stock feeders who were having a promotion on Go Stance and because it was reasonably priced I bought a bag.
Well I havent looked back and my poor doer now looks like a warmblood. I only had to feed him just under a kilo a day as well as a supplement and ad lib hay for him to reach the size he has now. I am now having to watch his weight!!!
On giving him a bath yesterday I realised he is starting to develop a crest.

I will be happy to write a proper testimonial for you. I don’t have a picture of Toggi in his worst condition but when I got him there was not a single place on his trunk and ne

ck that you could put your hand that didn’t have weeping lumps. His coat was dull and had bare patches, his skin was dry and almost wrinkled and he was 16’1 and 9ysr old. Since I have had him on this feeding regime he has grown to 17’ (bit of a surprise!!) and has doubled in weight. He has virtually no lumps, no respiratory issues and certainly no swollen legs which was another symptom. I have attached a picture of him since I started feeding cool stance and ad lib hay. I think you will agree he looks fab and this was a while ago – he looks even better now.

I am a BELIEVER! All my barrel horses have always been plagued wi

th white-line. I have had Junior for 9 years and its always been difficult to keep rear shoes on him because of the white-line and I have tried LOADS of products for it. CoolStance copra for welsh ponies

We are a very small Welsh Sect. A stud in Lincs. I was I was looking for something I could feed to such a variety of ages of ponies, (from foals to 33year olds!) Also a couple prone to Laminitis. The Feed Specialist at our local store recommended CoolStance Copra. Not very convinced it was all she said. I tried it - that was nearly 3 years ago - and I am still feeding it and recommending it to other people. I as I say, I have such a variety of ages - Foals, yearlings, brood mares and 2 Golden oldies - a mare 33 and a gelding 20.

They all thrive on the CoolStance copra -most importantly I have noticed if the amount of milk, the mares make.

I recently sold a 3/4 bred Spanish colt, the lady who bought him was so impressed she wanted to use CoolStance Copra - and had to get it from miles away, from her.

So I would recommend Coolstance Copra ro anyone who has a real mixture of ponies/horses - it is so easy to mix and I just adjust the ratio of feed to suit.

CoolStance copra calming Leopard Apaloosa

My horse an 8 year old Leopard Apaloosa has been very uptight and fretful. I tried adjusting his feed to cooler grass hay but he still was totally dangerous, unpredictable. After I heard about CoolStance I was hopeful it might help calm my horse. After a couple of weeks he has transformed into a different animal. Everyone at the facility I board him at has seen the transformation and can't believe it. Those with the same problem I had are convinced! They will try this feed out.The only problem I have is that he won't eat it alone. I have to put sugar or syrup on it. He eats it and still has the same calming affect. Thanks! I have 2 huge success stories to share with you about PowerStance. First, my 12 year old AQHA barrel horse Chester, foundered about a year and a half ago, during the course of the founder, he abcessed many times, but the last time he abcessed, it started tracking towards the bone and created a massive infection. I was told that if it continued on its path, surgery would be the only way to save him and that would require removing a quarter of his foot. Not only did he have the infection, but he had not been sound in over a year, would hardly move and every step was painful. The vets were at a loss on what to do, they could not figure out any way to make him comfortable. I began using PowerStance the beginning of October of 2009 and within 10 days of starting it, he was more alert, moving around a lot more and was not quite as lame. After a month, he was 100% sound at the walk and almost that at the trot. Today, in January of 2010, he is 100% sound and being legged back up to start running barrels again, the vets cannot find any sign that the infection was even there, only way we know it was is the x-rays from several months back showing it WAS there. The vets can't understand how he miraculously started doing better, but I know it was the PowerStance. Aside from being sound, he looks and feel great and is back to my old horse again, I am looking forward to rodeoing on him again!

My 2nd success story is with my 14 year old AQHA gelding, Dinero, who is also a barrel horse. Dinero has always been a hard-keeper, I could pour feed to him and he would still stay thin, not have a shine to his coat. I began feeding PowerStance to him to try and help keep his weight up and to help with his appearance, I ended up getting MUCH more. Today, Dinero looks and feel AWESOME, he has better stamina then he ever has and runs harder then ever. He is currently winning or placing at every run I take him to and getting faster at eveyr one. He does not get winded as easily and recovers much quicker now. I believe PowerStance has helped in mine and Dinero's recent success and I feel we will only continue to get better.

I am a BELIEVER! All my barrel horses have always been plagued with white-line. I have had Junior for 9 years and its always been difficult to keep rear shoes on him because of the white-line and I have tried LOADS of products for it. I have been using Power Stance for about 4 months, and today my farrier called to ask what I have been doing. He said all my horses feet (even Juniors) look extremely healthy. And no sign of white-line anymore. He said because of the recent weather conditions, all his other clients feet are full of it. All are also sporting nice shiny coats, looking and feeling good! Here are our results for the National Dilute Championships held at Gatton on the 19th and 20th September
On the Saturday "A Matta of Days" (matt) was awarded 1st buckskin gelding 4-8yrs and national champion senior gelding as well as reserve national champion dilute ancillary gelding and won the progeny pair class as well!

Just too classy (candy) had a clean sweap winning her best presented, movement, and bred to type as well as non dilute filly 3yrs and under and National Champion mare or filly and National Grand champion non dilute ancillary.

Sunday were the ridden events and Matt had a super day winning his ridden buckskin class and National champion gelding under saddle, he also won his galloway class.
We also took a clients pally pony "Made in Hollywood" (paris) and she won her ridden pally mare class and Reserve national champion ridden mare. Her young rider competed in the lead rein and won both her classes and High point of the show

Feeding CoolFibre to gelding for good condition

I started feeding Cool Fibre to my 10 year old standardbred gelding during the floods because he had to be moved from flooded paddocks at the back of our property. I was not currently feeding him as there was enough for him to maintain good condition in the paddock. However, he had to be moved to the driest place on our property which had insufficient forage for him.

I was looking for a feed that would not heat him up, and that was also quick and easy to prepare. All I had to do was add water & his Vitamin and mineral supplement and it was ready to go. I started feeding CoolFibre at a rate of 2Kg per day with Hay. No need to add chaff.

I was feeding it wet with a handful of sunflower seeds and also his vitamin and mineral supplement, and grassy hay or Rhodes grass hay.

My horse absolutely loved it from the moment I first put it in his feed bin! As a matter of fact he licked his bin afterwards. I also fed some to our Goats and sheep who also loved it.

My horse maintained his overall good body condition and in fact actually put weight on. His coat became very glossy in a short period of time. In the past I have had an issue with certain feeds affecting his behaviour and I was able to feed Cool Fibre while still maintaining his normal calm temperament. It truly is a cool feed for horses!

I would not hesitate to feed Cool Fibre again as I was so happy with it. It was quick and easy to prepare, cost effective and a great result all round. In the past I have tried other high fibre feeds and found that because they weren't so palatable I have had to add molasses to it so my horse would eat it. Not so with Cool Fibre, he loved it from the first time I offered it to him.

I found Cool Fibre much more cost effective to feed than other high fibre cool feeds now on the market, which is one of the reasons I chose to try it

Once I heard how remarkably my friend's mare was doing on the feed, I decided to compare the NSF of CoolStance to the other food product I was using. I decided right then and there to switch feeds altogether from the cup I was adding to their diet to approximately 2 pounds and eliminating the other food.

I love to research and I read on the internet that university studies are currently recommending low starch diets to prevent and eliminate diseases. I also learned that coconut is one of the "perfect" and healthiest foods for humans and thought it would have to be the same for horses too. The more I learned about CoolStance I realized it was

not just for horses with Cushings Disease or laminitic horses, but would be excellent for prevention of all the 5 man-made equine diseases such as ulcers, tying up, laminitis, colic and founder.

Coconut is very alkalizing; thus neutralizes the acid that is built up in the horse. The traditional grain products such as the starch in sweet feed, corn oats and barley are very acidic forming and it is the acid that causes disease. Disease cannot live in an alkaline inner terrain and can only live in an acidic environment. I realized this product is amazingly healthy for horses!

My yearlings and weanlings will be healthier and not be encouraged to develop epithisytis and OCD as they would be on high starch diets. They will be able to fatten up and prepare for the sales barn without the fear of surgery facing them in the future.

A couple of years ago I had an outstanding young buckskin horse that tied

up and had to be put down. Up to that point I had never owned a tying up horse, and it was such a traumatic experience I decided to learn everything I could about horse nutrition. I learned that almost everything I had been taught at college, told or believed about corn, oats, and sweet feed was wrong. The learning curve led me to understand that nearly everything on the ingredient tag, when it comes to horses, is basically irrelevant. I believe the only important ingredient on tag should be the starch content. It is curious that the big feed companies will not list starch. This will lead everyone to Cool Stance. When someone notices and asks what I'm feeding, I answer and begin to explain why I feed it. Not surprisingly they yawn at the science, the metabolism, or how to keep their horses from acting hot and stupid on anything other than hay. On the other hand they do get excited when I start pointing out the shiny hair, tails dragging the ground, long manes, and good hoofs. I guess any motivation is OK as long as the outcome is correct."

We have been using Coolstance for a number of years as it is a great conditioning additive especially with the number of older horses we have who are over 20 and range into their early 30's. It is easy for them to digest, the oils help with their coats etc.

Plus all the younger ones get it added to their feed as well. It makes the chestnuts and bays shine, plus the greys have a shimmer.

Plus it is one of the best things to add to the ponies feed when they are on their diets, to add a great feed stuff which tastes good, low in the carbs and sugars they do not need. It has helped stop them in their tracks when they begin to show signs of founder.

It is a great base for any feed and you can easily mix chaff, pellets and grains in with it if need be if you require some extra fizz for competition. It tastes great and is excellent for covering up herbs and minerals and salts that are sometimes needed to be mixed with feeds.

All my horses lick the tub clean! Then the other agisted horses come into the yards which are left open when not used, and lick it clean again!"

"I was first introduced to copra four years ago by a friend. Once I tried it I could not believe the difference - especially in one horse 'Roches Du Cayrou'. He had been extremely lean and was difficult to keep weight on. After running he would tuck up and we would have to leave him for four weeks before running him again. Since going on copra the difference is unbelievable. He now holds his condition and we could run him every week if we needed to.

We also have a high strung horse called "Jazz City" (a hurdler), and copra has worked wonders in keeping him calmer and helping with his temperament.
